Responsibilities:

Human Resources Specialist performs duties in some or all of the following functional areas: employee/labor relations, onboarding, orientation, license maintenance, and recruiting. specialist is responsible for the successful and smooth onboarding of new employees, from offer letter generation through new hire orientation. Specific operational processes include offer letter generation, I-9 processing, background checks, document retention and upkeep, new-hire orientation, etc. This role will also require compiling and maintaining licensed employees credentials necessary to ensure initial credentialing enrollment and re-credentialing.

  • Process onboarding paperwork(i.e. new hires, volunteers, students, and consultants)
  • Request appropriate pre-employment screenings, background checks and credentialing.
  • Maintain current copies of all provider documentation including: state licenses, malpractice coverage, certifications, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking expiration dates of provider licenses and certifications
  • Audit files for accurate and up-to-date information on all employees

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years’ experience working in a Human Resources environment and a Bachelor’s degree; or Associates degree and 5 or more years’ experience in HR; or High school degree or equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in HR
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external changes
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge on how HR and Payroll interact
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Intermediate computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy.
